The briefing attracted 60 plus viewers from NZ Samoa and Australia.
This was the second NZTE/ANZ/PEN briefing and it proved to be a well spent hour for those who connected.
The presenters were David Dewar, NZ Pacific Trade Commissioner (based in Suva), Gareth Coleman, ANZ;s Head of Trade and Supply Chain for NZ and the Pacific and Bernie Poort, ANZ's Samoa Country Manager.
Doubtless, Samoa has been badly hit by the measles outbreak and Covid 19. It is opening its border on 1 August, but the economy has shrunk by 25%.
There is optimism and the message was that now is a good time for businesses looking at Samoa to engage.
ANZ and NZTE as well as PEN will facilitate engagement activities so let us know if you need help and we will assist you.
