The Pacific Exporters' Network (PEN) announces its first trade mission.

We have 4 Wellington based exporters arriving in Port Vila on Saturday 17 June. The mission which is lead by prominent Wellington businessperson, Colin Carr, will start the mission with a breakfast hosted by the NZ High Commissioner to Vanuatu, Nicci Simmonds, on Monday morning. Later in the morning the mission will be formally welcomed by the Vanuatu Minister of Trades, Hon Matai Seremaiah at a reception at Warwick Le Lagon in Port Vila. A small expo featuring what members have to offer will follow.

The mission has a busy schedule of appointments. On Thursday the mission visits Luganville a major commercial centre on Santo, an hour's flight north of Port Vila.

These arrangements have been facilitated by His Excellency Jimmy Nipo the Vanuatu High Commissioner in Wellington who will be travelling with the mission. His effort and those of his staff are greatly appreciated.

Charles Broad, who is PEN's Convenor comments that this mission is the first ever Pacific mission featuring Wellington exporters. It is an exploratory mission to be followed by other missions to other Pacific countries in the future.

Interested exporters are welcome to paticipate in all future missions. Register your interest to cbroad.pen@gmail.com
